The Brief.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) wanted an innovative Essex PR and Marketing Agency to generate a buzz in the local Essex and Hertfordshire media and encourage sign-ups for its Heli-bration event in July 2024, showcasing the unveiling of its new state-of-the-art AW169 helicopter.

What did Orange do?

Essex-based marketing agency, Orange, developed a strategy for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance to not only promote its Heli-bration event, but also raise awareness about the incredible life saving charity and its ongoing impact on the community.

Orange’s strategy involved utilising the team’s strong relationships with journalists to curate a local media list consisting of newspaper, magazine and broadcast journalists, within Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We then sold-in a press release detailing the event to these media outlets, highlighting what both the event and the charity has to offer. Additionally, we conducted research into local influencers and content creators, utilising our skills in influencer marketing to invite selected local talent to the Heli-bration event, to generate engaging content, and boost awareness of the charity’s initiatives. 


The Juicy Results.

Orange successfully supported Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust (EHAAT) by securing high-quality media coverage across a variety of local media outlets. These efforts contributed to driving over 4,000 event sign ups and raised significant awareness for the charity within the local community.

The activities carried out by Orange have led to significant coverage for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust across a range of local media platforms in Essex, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. A total of 38 online pieces and 11 offline pieces were secured, creating a buzz ahead of the Heli-bration event.

In addition, Orange secured three local radio interviews for the charity’s CEO to talk about the event and encourage sign-ups whilst also raising awareness of the new helicopter.

The overall coverage reached an audience of 1.5 million and featured an impressive 348 brand mentions, which is an incredible outcome for Essex & Herts Air Ambulance.
